THE LIGHT BRIGADE

Over 20 years ago, several Mounds View High School football parents ('83-'86) formed a group to raise money to put up lights (1986) at Mustang Stadium. This group was called "The Light Brigade" and over the next 20 years it raised millions of dollars to pay for many projects including: home bleachers (1988), concession and storage building (1991) and visitor bleachers (1993).

The Light Brigade continued to raise money up until 2006 when it dissolved. Overall, this group of parents has raised over 2.9 million dollars for the Mounds View School District.

Athlete Service Award; Co-founder of Mounds View Light Brigade in 1985 after spearheading 1983 fund raiser drive to put lights on MVHS football field; Light Brigade generated more than $2.9 million for Mounds View athletics, School Dist. 621, and North Suburban Community grant distributions; Dist 621 resident for more than 40 yrs, children graduated from MVHS and participated in school and community athletic programs; University of Minnesota IT Engineering Graduate, founded 3 corporations and doing consulting work; Home- Roseville.
